Climate: The northern states of India vary a lot in temperature in the summers.
Temperatures in the plains can go as high as 48°C and in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal,
and Jammu & Kashmir, highs would be around 33°C. Winters are cold with lows dropping to 0°C in the
plains, and -10°C in the mid-mountain areas. High mountain areas can have lows around -25°C.
